Gemma Ray was a 17 year old, fun loving and a very outgoing young lady, She passed away on the 2nd of November 2011, just two days before her 18th birthday, Gemma was also 19 weeks pregnant with a baby boy.

Gemma died of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy, (SUDEP) and we as a charity are now raising awareness of SUDEP, because very few sufferers of Epilepsy or their carer’s know of this. We also provide sleep safe anti suffocation pillows, for more details on this please see the link on the right of this page.

With your help we can make a difference to help prevent sudden deaths caused by epilepsy.

The Gemma’s Ray of Hope was first established in February 2012 by family and friends of Gemma. All members of the charity work on a voluntary basis so all donations go direct to raising awareness of Epiliepsy and SUDEP.

We will continue to raise awareness, support carers, family members and sufferers of epilepsy.
